So the Goodreads tag is a super old tag that has been around for years. But this week I reached my Goodreads book challenge target for 2016! I’ve never actually reached my target before, let alone a few months early! So to celebrate I thought I’d do my first book tag…
What was the last book you marked as read?
So this seems to be book ‘2.5’ in the series – set between the second book and the last book, ‘Mad About the Boy’. Whatever, I love Bridget and would probably love any Bridget-related book. This was the perfect read for me at the moment because it was so easy to read and very short.
What are you currently reading?
I’ve just started reading The Atomic Weight of Love by Elizabeth J. Church which is my last book for review this month, and which I am super excited about.
What was the last book you marked as ‘to read’?
I heard about this book on BookTube and it sounded lovely. I recently finished Britt-Marie Was Here by Fredik Backman which I thought was a nice, sweet read. I also have A Man Called Ove on my TBR pile.
What book do you plan to read next?
The illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was released this week and I’m already in love with it. I re-read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as the illustrated edition recently and it was definitely a good time.
Do you use the star rating system?
Yes, although I am probably guilty of giving 5-stars a bit too much!
Are you doing a 2016 reading challenge?
Yep – see intro! *dances*
Do you have a wishlist?
Not really. I do add books I want to read to my ‘to read’ list but this also includes the books I own so it wouldn’t make a very good wishlist!
What book to you plan to buy next?
Do you have any favourite quotes?
Sadly I’m not a quotes person! I have a lot I like but I don’t necessarily keep track of them.
Who are your favourite authors?
That’s such a tough one. I have authors whose books I always buy – such as Ian McEwan, Sophie Kinsella, Cecelia Ahern, Alexander McCall Smith and Jon Ronson. But then a lot of my favourite books’ authors have only written one or two books.
Have you joined any groups?
Only a couple of book groups – Emma Watson’s feminist book group and Perustopia. I’d like to join more, especially as I start taking part in read-a-thons.
How many shelves do you have on Goodreads?
Apart from the standard ones, I created ‘abandoned’ and ‘rereads’.
Well there we go! If you want to take part then consider yourself tagged… although you’ve probably done this already!!
